How I recharge my light when life drains it 😇

As I sit recharging myself spiritually (incense, pink, light blue and red candles, my oracle cards) and emotionally (journaling); one of the ongoing themes of the two different decks of Oracle cards used is letting go, releasing, stepping out unapologetically being who I am the way I am. Trusting my spiritual beliefs and connecting on a deeper level to my higher power. God has blessed me with the gifts to succeed with goals I have set or that which God (my higher power, constant friend, creator, protector and replenisher) has predestined for me. My oracle cards, which I usually shuffle seven times, today the number nine came up so I shuffled them nine times before pulling my cards.

Number 9 is the number of Universal love, eternity, faith, Universal Spiritual Laws, the concept of karma, spiritual enlightenment, spiritual awakening, service to humanity, lightworking and lightworkers, destiny, life purpose and soul mission, generosity, a higher perspective, romance, inner-strength, responsibility, intuition, strength of character. (the more you know😉)

As I proceeded to pull cards, meditate and read the meaning of my cards, one told me to stop and in the moment make a gratitude list. I was amazed by how freely people, places, things, character traits of myself and others flowed so freely from my pen. It was at this moment I was reminded of how small some problems, when stacked next to my blessings, gifts and the “angels” in my life ..are just that...small. One thing that came up in my list, was “resilience”. I try to spell things correctly, so I looked up the spelling to make sure I did and at first glance something else came up for me. 

RESILIENCE. 

At first glance I saw the word “silence”, at second glance I literally said out loud to myself “no in order for it to be silence, I have to remove the I." In this moment I realized how I (my ego, thoughts, feelings, unreasonable expectations etc.) can be or have been getting in the way of ME (i.e. my blessings, purpose, focus, truth, greatness etc. ).

I looked again and realized that the word left me with RES at the beginning, so I looked it up. None of the definitions spoke to me until I got to the Wikipedia one that said “Latin word meaning thing”. I needed to read more so “entity” was listed in parentheses “disambiguation”,  “object” in parentheses the word philosophy. When I think of religion, I think of philosophy so I felt like I was on to something. There was a list of other terms or phrases; the ones that spoke to me were Res Divina “service of the gods”. Next word, Res Gestae “things done”. Then, Res Ipsa loquitur “the thing speaks for itself” and finally Res nullius an “unknown thing”. So as I commonly do, I took spiritual and creative liberties and here’s what I came up with ie my interpretation…..

“Remove myself (I), be silent or still and let God (an entity, object or being) Res gestae (get things done) like those Res nullius (unknown things) things that are blocking me. I will know it is God‘s will because it will, Res ipsa loquitur “speak for itself“. That thing that man or human beings cannot do for things needing to be done are, Res divina “the service or services of the Gods”.  After writing this I felt comforted, calm and optimistic.

As I did further research, I found that most of these terms are legal terms but I wrote them as they came up for me at first glance, hence "creative liberties" and the message I got from them, "spiritual liberties". 

I will end this with Àsá (pronounced ashe') which is a Yoruba philosophical concept which in short form means “to conceive the power to make things happen and produce change” or in basic terms to speak into existence. I will also end this with (as to not offend or disrespect the faith practice that has been a comfort) …Amen, which is a Hebrew term meaning certainty, truth and verily. The term is used to mean, it is so or so it be.
