Let Me Be Great

 Wait! Wait! Let me be great! On this particular topic I just can’t skate
This is one conversation we simply cannot escape, I beat to my own drum, I do things my way
  
 and yes I do peak during certain time of the day              
 I understand you do work all the time, Me? oh, I need time to play,  but on task daily I strive to stay

                             

 I do not jump on bandwagons                              
 I am a leader by nature not one bringing up the back and draggin      
 if with me you are patient then you get my best                  
 and not from me begrudgingly, you will get it with Zest!

 But please! Please ! for heaven’s sake, don’t put me in a box…Let me be great!

 If you have a team you want me to be on, I have no problems with that    
 but tell me what exactly you need from me and step the hell back

             

 If you’re going to try and tell me how this thing goes,  
 dooo yo thang dude, but hey! Let me go!

 I don’t care for complaining or over thinking things, let it go      \
 let me move around my way, how about you catch my own flow

 But if you want things to go well at this rate

 I would suggested you pump yo” breaks and let me be great!

 I don’t mind helping other people , but not at the risk of losing who I am  

 for it was me in my original form that in yo’ life made me a high demand
