That darn four letter word

Fear that darn four letter word,  what does it really mean?  Well Webster said "to expect or worry  about usually something bad or unpleasant". What if Webster is wrong? What if fear is actually  thinking about and expecting  something great to turn out and your  nervousness is about  oh my goodness how will handle all this goodness coming my way.  Oh well here goes .......

FEAR
I have this feeling deep within
I know it can be  that -4 letter word  because that would be a sin
If I have faith that my higher power  won't lead me astray
Then I really don't have time to sit and worry about bad things happening to me today
Instead I will choose to  allow  only good to happen to me
Yeah, I know some will say what isn't that a little Naïve
Well actually I don't think it is ..actually it can't be
Not if I say daily what God has for me is for me and I believe this to the T
There are some goals in  life I have to try and simply cannot resist
but how can I achieve them if I try to allow confidence and that four letter word to live within, coexist......can they?
At some point you have to stop straddling the fence, grow up and choose
Stop allowing others and that four letter word  to dictate  which you can  and cannot do
will you not even try , not even take a chance  how can you feel a certain way about something you've never tried already...... in advance
How can you run from a noise, a challenge... something new will always exist
without even investigating the possibilities, a blessing never claimed.... an opportunity missed
People go through life  all the time with regret for things they've never done
When no one stood in their way,  no one stopped them, they actually could have WON
So who do you blame,  what do you do about this four letter word that appears to hinder you
Do you run? Is it a fight or flight situation,; if so, which one will you choose?
To not take chances in this short time of existence we call life is completely and utterly absurd
especially if you find yourself being punked without even trying by a mere four letter word
