Love who you are from the inside out, every good thing, every not so good thing
I am a firm believer that people are created for a purpose, there are no accidents
Even if your parents are not together, a one night stand, the condom broke
You survived
Why
Because there is something special about you
But why don't YOU see it.
If people actually took the time to research where their insecurities or fears came from, it didn't come from the individual, but from some other person in their life
A parent, another relative, a friend
It may not have even been malicious intent, but it had an affect
At what point do you let it go and learn to love you?
Other people love you
Your higher power loves you
Start by looking in the mirror and pointing out things about you, that YOU like
Next look at the things you don't like and if YOU want to..
Change it
If you are ambivalent about something about you, learn to love it ...find a reason
Next the inner you
One of the coolest things I ever wrote was an assignment in my masters program where we had to write a paper about ourselves
I was able to look at it later in life and realized, I wrote ALL lies
At this point I realized I didn't know ME
And so began my journey
Get to know and love yourself
Write a paper about yourself
Journaling
Do a family chart
Love begins with self-love
I know people say how can you love someone else, if you don't love you
Well this is true
But this isn't about others, it's about you. Self esteem is built on self love, confidence and self acceptance.
When you love and accept you....it carries into relationships, friendships, work ethic, your faith walk
Because you no longer feel the need to justify YOU..to others
Let the journey begin
